Ramovic Calls Mokwena A Liar

TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has reignited his feud with Mamelodi Sundowns counterpart Rulani Mokwena, accusing him of lying for the second time this season.
The tension began in November when Mokwena complained about missing a glut of his players who were with Bafana Bafana during a Carling Knockout Cup clash against Galaxy in October.
Ramovic saw this as a lack of sportsmanship. While Mokwena claimed to have reached out to clear the air, Ramovic maintains the call was unpleasant.
The feud escalated in April after Sundowns defeated Galaxy 3-0. Mokwena alleged a conspiracy to injure midfielder Bongani Zungu. Galaxy responded by filing a high court lawsuit against Mokwena for defamation, calling the injury claim a fabrication.
“He’s a liar,” Ramovic declared. “We’ll prove it. Honesty is a core value of mine, and that’s how I was raised.”
Ramovic further accused Mokwena of lying about other matters: “He lied about Bernard Parker, about [Bafana Bafana coach] Hugo Broos, and about me. He even threatened me with insults during a phone call.”
Ramovic referenced unconfirmed reports of Mokwena’s inappropriate behavior towards a schoolboy. “And I’m not sure if what I read is true, but he also manhandled a schoolboy and this shows what kind of a character he is, and we don’t want to go down, we stand up and we do our talking on the pitch,” he added.
The Galaxy coach emphasized his desire to expose Mokwena’s alleged dishonesty. He also hinted at the feud’s longevity:
“There are principles, you cannot just say okay I don’t care,” he said.
“He lied, and you let it pass. What if he says to the other one that he stole something?
“What happens next when he tells a big or small lie again”.
“A lie is a lie, small or big, probably every time he is practicing that he wants to lie and he just continues and we want to prove that he lied, and we want to make a point because it is a shame that a coach like him in a beautiful institution like Sundowns is a liar,” he reiterated.
The animosity between the two teams spilled over into a match at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday that ended in a 1-1 draw , forcing police intervention to calm tensions.
