Ramovic Mocks Mokwena Again, Demands “Mr Sunshine” Sign Mbappe, Ronaldo, and Messi

The simmering feud between TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic and Mamelodi Sundowns’ Rulani Mokwena reignited after their pulsating 1-1 draw in the DStv Premiership at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday.

Despite Galaxy nearly ending Sundowns’ remarkable unbeaten run, the match ended in a thrilling stalemate.

Ramovic, known for his fiery comments, continued his playful jab at Mokwena by referring to him as “Mr Sunshine” in a post-match interview on SuperSport TV. He emphasized Galaxy’s ambition to become a top team, highlighting their current fourth-place position and remaining aspirations for a top-four finish.

“This would be an amazing achievement, like winning the league,” Ramovic said, acknowledging the significance of reaching the top four. He then turned his attention to Mokwena, stating, “Mr Sunshine, this is hard work, this is coaching, this is the highest education as a coach.”

The rivalry between the two coaches stems from earlier encounter in October last year. Galaxy has proven to be a thorn in Sundowns’ side, defeating them once – in the Carling Knockout, losing once and drawing the other league matches. Galaxy, along with SuperSport United last season, were one of two clubs to beat Sundowns in the league.

Ramovic took this opportunity to further poke fun at Sundowns, suggesting they might need to acquire star players like Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi to overpower Galaxy.

“If they want to beat us,” Ramovic quipped, “maybe they should buy Mbappe, Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, maybe they will have a bigger chance. If not, he (Mokwena) has to take the highest education because this is what he doesn’t have.”
