Ramovic’s Pristine Record Against Chippa Will Not Count
TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic says his unbeaten stats against Chippa United will count for nothing when his side hosts the Eastern Cape side at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday (15:00).
Since The Serbian coach arrived in the country late in 2022, has yet to suffer a loss against the Chilli Boyz, having faced them six times.
Tim Sukazi’s club won four and drew two.
“I will say we are confident, we believe in ourselves,” said Ramovic when asked by Sportswire at the press conference in Sandton on Wednesday about his unbeaten record against Thabo September and Kwanele Kopo’s side.
“We don’t spend so much time on the past because, yes, we won so many games, but this will not help us for the next game because we must put again the same effort, and same attitude on the field because we are a team that live in.
“If we do things individually, I think we will crumble. The best thing is to be a team, and this is of course for me as a coach it makes me proud.”
Ramovic’s side, who won this cup in 2019 when they were campaigning in the Motsepe Foundation Championship against Kaizer Chiefs in Durban – the first side to do so from the second tier, has been doing well at the Mbombela Stadium this season.
They have only lost one game in their backyard, which came against SuperSport United in November, which they defeated in their last game to jump to fifth in the table.
They have not lost at home since then.
