Uganda Keep The Top Spot In Bafana’s Group
Uganda stretched their lead at the top of Group K after beating South Sudan in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala on Friday.
Kristopher Mugabi scored the game’s only goal in the 47th minute for the Ugandan, who gave Bafana Bafana a scare in September when the qualifiers began.
With this win, they have cemented their top spot with seven points from three matches. These two sides will meet again at Juba Stadium on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana were flying in their game as they led 3-0 in the first half, the game that was marred by fan invasion. It was halted for close to 20 minutes in the first half.
It appears the fight for supremacy will be between Bafana Bafana and Uganda and these two sides will meet in November in match-day five in Kampala.
