University Of Pretoria Sack Kopo

The University of Pretoria has confirmed the departure of head coach Kwanele Kopo by mutual agreement.
Kopo joined AmaTuks at the start of the recently concluded season with the mandate of guiding the club into the Motsepe Foundation Championship playoffs.
However, he was unable to achieve that objective, with the club finishing 11th in the final league standings.
“The University of Pretoria Football Club (AmaTuks) officially announces that the club and the head coach have mutually agreed to part ways with immediate effect.
“AmaTuks would like to express its deepest gratitude for the coach’s professionalism and dedication during his tenure at the club.
“We are grateful for his service and the knowledge he imparted to our players and staff during his time here. He made a meaningful contribution to the club’s technical development and competitive progress. We wish him well in his future endeavours,” said AmaTuks CEO Kenneth Neluvhalani.
Kopo, who previously coached Chippa United and Pretoria Callies, also shared a farewell message.
“I am thankful for the opportunity afforded to me by the club,” he said.
“I will always appreciate the time I spent at AmaTuks. I am grateful for the support of the Chairman of the Board, Mr Xolani Hadebe, the Director of TuksSport, Mr Steven Ball, the CEO, Mr Kenneth Neluvhalani, the AmaTuks staff, players, and the University of Pretoria community at large.”
