Upington City Appoints Truter as New Coach

Upington City FC has appointed Brandon Truter as their new coach, effective immediately.
Truter, who most recently led Sekhukhune United to the Nedbank Cup final last season and top eigth finish, fills the vacancy left after his departure from the Limpopo side in November.
Upington City currently sits ninth in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after a promising start that saw them lead the standings at one point. The club hopes Truter’s experience can reinvigorate their promotion push.
“Truter brings a wealth of experience in the Motsepe Foundation Championship,” the club said in a statement. “
He successfully guided Moroka Swallows back to the top flight in the 2019/20 season and previously coached Richards Bay in the National First Division.
Truter’s familiarity with the league is seen as a valuable asset. He’ll make his debut with Upington City this Saturday against Black Leopards at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium (15:00).
