Zwane Ready To Face Thwihli Thwahla

AmaZulu co-coach Arthur Zwane says their game against Royal AM will be a tough one but they are ready for it and they will come with a different approach in this one.

Usuthu will welcome their neighbours, Thwihli Thwahla in the Betway Premiership match at King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday (19:30).

Zwane said that this game will be not an easy one and they will come with a different approach because the opponent read their strengths and weaknesses in their last game against TS Galaxy.

“You know derby games, they are very unpredictable and we are playing against a good team, we are playing against a team that has been playing well,” Zwane said.

“I think they’ve got a lot of strength from their last game, they were 2-0 down (against Kaizer Chiefs) and managed to come back to get a point away. So, I think that will motivate them and they always pose a danger.

“But all in all, I think we are ready and we are always ready. But as I said, these kinds of games are very unpredictable because you want to take maximum points. We will use the advantage of being at home and obviously from our side, I think the guys are looking forward to this game.

“I’m sure they have analyzed our strengths and weaknesses. I think we will have a different approach while we are playing at home and there’s a lot we need to improve on.”

Meanwhile, the former Chiefs coach also said that in their last game against TS Galaxy, they played very well, it’s just that they were not clinical in front of the goals.

“I think the most important thing is to redeem ourselves. We were not bad at all in our last game against TS Galaxy, I think we lack that finishing touch,” he said.

“This is an area that we need to improve on, and I think we’ve discussed it with the coach [Vusumuzi Vilakazi]. “But again when you look at how we played in that game, we were not playing well compared to that one we played against Richards Bay.”

Zwane added that in this game they want to continue where they left on their last game against Bay, before facing TS Galaxy. “We would love to continue where we left off from our last game before TS Galaxy,” said Zwane.

“When you look at the performance and the effort, some of the players were not good in the first half and others were not good in the second half but with the sub we made, we managed to do well.

“But I think there’s a lot of positives in the team, we just have to be clinical in front of goals. We just have to avoid losing the ball cheaply, especially in the danger zone, and also avoid conceding goals towards the end of first-half or at the of the second half.”

Zwane’s side is currently in the 14th position after seven games in the Betway Premiership with only six points. Thwihli Thwahla on the other side, they are sitting in position number 12 with eight points after nine league games.
