AmaZulu Sign Second January Transfer Window Addition

Sportswire has been informed that AmaZulu have completed their second signing of the January transfer window, securing the services of Tashreeq Manuel from Cape Town Spurs.
Questions may arise over how smoothly the deal was concluded, given the recent tension between the two clubs following AmaZulu’s acquisition of Liam Bern.
Cape Town Spurs had challenged Bern’s move to Usuthu through the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) before escalating the matter to the SAFA Appeals Board.
After several months, Spurs eventually withdrew the case, allowing the midfielder to officially feature for AmaZulu late last year, despite having trained with the club at the beginning of the season.
AmaZulu have now followed up that signing by landing the former Spurs DStv Diski Challenge standout, who notably scored twice against Orlando Pirates in a 2023/24 DStv Diski Challenge round-10 encounter.
Manuel becomes the second player signed by Usuthu during this transfer window, following the acquisition of Mason Mushore from Zimbabwean side Highlanders FC on Wednesday. That move was officially announced by the club after this publication had confirmed it late last year.
AmaZulu currently sit fifth on the Betway Premiership standings with 24 points from 14 matches and will return to action after the Africa Cup of Nations when they host TS Galaxy at Princess Magogo Stadium on 25 January.
