Arrows Set For Major Shake-Up: Players And Coaches Face The Axe

Sportswire has been informed that Golden Arrows are said to have parted ways with several players and technical team members who failed to make an impact last season.
Among those facing the axe are assistant coaches Musa Bilankulu and Kagiso Dikgacoi.
The players said to have been shown the door include right-back Keanan Phillips, midfielder Sazi Gumbi, versatile right-sided player Brandon Theron, and midfielder Shadrack Kobedi.
Goalkeeper coach Marcus Mashilo is also said to be on his way out of the club.
These drastic changes leave the future of head coach Manqoba Mngqithi hanging in the balance. It remains uncertain whether he will also exit the club, despite leading Abafana Bes’Thende to a sixth-place finish in the Betway Premiership last season.
The 55-year-old coach, who returned to Arrows in March last year, is rumored to be at the end of his contract, which expires this June.
This publication has been informed that Arrows are already monitoring former TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic as a potential replacement should the former Mamelodi Sundowns tactician decide to leave.
Speculation had previously linked Mngqithi with the head coach vacancy at AmaZulu, amid rumors that Arthur Zwane might leave Usuthu after receiving a lucrative offer from Sekhukhune United management.
However, AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu recently told this website that they intend to keep Zwane for next season, which has led Sekhukhune to turn their sights to Cedric Kaze.
Meanwhile, speaking during the Bafana Bafana send-off two weeks ago, Dikgacoi dismissed the rumors regarding Mngqithi’s departure.
“I don’t know much about it,” Dikgacoi said. “There has never been a word from the team or the coach himself [that things are going to change]. As it stands, he is still part of the team. So, I don’t know what is going to happen.”
