Chiefs Part Ways With DDC Starlet

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the exit of promising youngster Siphesihle Tati, who has attracted interest in the Betway Premiership.
The talented attacking midfielder will be free to join any club of his choice in the off-season.
‘Zizo’, as the playmaker is affectionately known, joined the Soweto giants’ under-17 side at the age of 14 from All Stars FC, before catching the eye with dazzling performances that earned him a promotion to the DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] team.
Tati helped Chiefs’ reserve team clinch its maiden championship in 10 years, becoming the first club from Soweto to reign supreme in the DDC, ahead of fierce rivals Orlando Pirates, who had a disappointing campaign as they finished in fifth place.
Vela Khumalo’s troops picked up 70 points from 28 games, surpassing the record number of points in the process. Amakhosi toppled Stellenbosch FC in style, creating a seven-point gap over the second-placed Winelands outfit.
“As the 2024/25 season comes to a close, we bid farewell to one of our own, Sihle Tati. From his first touch in gold and black to his final whistle with the badge on his chest, he represented our Youth Development with pride, discipline, and passion,” read the club statement on Thursday evening.
“Thank you for your dedication, growth, and unforgettable moments. We are proud of your journey and can’t wait to see where football takes you next. Once a Khosi, Always a Khosi.”
TS Galaxy are said to be the frontrunners for Tati’s signature, with the Mpumalanga-based outfit having already lured several of Amakhosi’s academy products such as Puso Dithejane and Khulumani Ndamane in recent years.
The Rockets are believed to have also acquired the services of Chiefs DDC captain Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi, who was instrumental to the Glamour Boys’ historic reserve league triumph, dictating play from the heart of the midfield.
