Ellis Announces Banyana Squad To Face Jamaica

Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis has announced the squad that will face Jamaica in two friendly matches this month and next. These games will be played on 29 November and 2 December.
Banyana are playing these matches after suffering defeats in two friendly matches against Denmark and England last month.
The squad announcement coincided with the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) draw on Friday. This tournament will take place in Morocco next year, the same country where Banyana Banyana triumphed in 2022 for the first time in their history.
“We are eagerly anticipating the WAFCON 2025 draw tomorrow,” Ellis said on Thursday, having been inducted into the Hall Of Fame on Wednesday. “It’s been a while since we’ve played on the continent, and we have already begun our preparations to defend our title as African Champions.”
