Gallants Reinforce Squad With Three New Signings

Struggling Marumo Gallants have bolstered their squad with three new signings, including the return of striker Junior Dion from AmaZulu on loan.
Dion, who previously played for Gallants before joining Usuthu in the second half of the 2022/23 season, reunites with former coach Dan Malesela, who led the club to the Nedbank Cup final in the 2021/22 season.
“Marumo Gallants FC is thrilled to announce the latest additions to our talented squad. The appointments include the signing of striker Junior Zindoga,” the club said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The Zimbabwean-born footballer made a name for himself in Maritzburg United playing in the Multichoice Diski Challenge.
“Zindoga also left his footprint in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League where he played for Yadah Stars, and most recently displayed his skill set in Swaziland playing for Nsingizini Hotspurs in the Swazi MTN Soccer League.
“The team welcomes Zindoga, whose impressive skills on the field will undoubtedly be an asset to the Gallants family.
“The club has also signed striker Junior Dion on loan from AmaZulu. This talent originates from the Ivory Coast and has played for several teams, including Williamsville Athlétic Club and ASEC Mimosas in his native Ivory Coast.
“He then moved to Botswana to join Jwaneng Galaxy and later played for Marumo Gallants before being signed by AmaZulu in 2023.
“We are excited to welcome him home and believe that his contribution will complement the existing team structure.
“Additionally, Ibrahim Conde will be joining the team to further bolster tactical strategies. Originating from Guinea, Conde with an impressive soccer career has played for several teams, including the University of New Hampshire, where he had a standout season in 2024.
“The club is confident Conde, along with the existing players, will contribute to the overall success of the team as Gallants aim to finish the season on a strong note.”
If all necessary paperwork is finalized with the PSL, these players may feature in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 match against Pretoria Callies on Friday.
Meanwhile, talks continue to be awash that Gallants might sold to former Bloemfontein Celtic boss Max Tshabalala, whose club pulled out of playing in the ABC Motsepe regional league in Bloemfontein.
“Meanwhile, in light of recent speculation, the club would like to confirm that Gallants is not involved in any discussions regarding the sale of the club,” the club stated.
