Kolisi Eyes Series Win Against Ireland In Durban

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi is determined to secure a series victory against Ireland with a second win at Kings Park Stadium in Durban this Saturday (17:00).
The Boks emerged victorious from a tough first encounter, defeating Ireland 27-20 in Pretoria last weekend. However, Kolisi remains cautious, emphasizing that the team won’t be complacent.
“We definitely want to win on Saturday,” said the Bok skipper.
“We are not entering this match with the view that we are one up in the series. It’s a new game, so for us it is 0-0, and it is important for the team to come away with a victory.
“We’ve been working hard as a group, and we know how important this match is for both teams. We have no doubt that they’ll come even harder at us than last week because this is their last game of the season, and they want to finish it on a high note.”
While Kolisi recently left the Sharks for French club Racing 92 after a successful World Cup title defense with the Boks, his two-year stint with the Sharks means Kings Park Stadium is familiar territory.
“I think it’s important to all of us as a group, because wherever we play in South Africa no matter which venue, its home.” reassured the former Stomers flanker. “I’m just happy that can play and be part of this game here and I know the people of Durban they love their rugby. I mean the game is already sold out.”
