Kwinika Warns Of ‘Difficult Game’ Against Struggling Chippa United

Kaizer Chiefs defender Zitha Kwinika has expressed the challenges of facing Chippa United in their upcoming Betway Premiership league clash.
Chiefs will travel to Qgeberha to take on the struggling Chippa at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday.
The Glamour currently sit in fourth spot with 22 points after 11, and a victory in this game with put them in the third position.
On the other hand, Chippa is desperate for points, sitting at the bottom of the table with eight points after 14 matches. Coach Vusi Vilakazi is the fifth coach they have had this season, following the departures of Sinethemba Badela, Musa Nyatama, Morgan Mammila, and Luc Eymael.
Coming from a 1-1 draw against Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages this past weekend, Amakhosi will now move their attention to the league.
“The last time we played, I think we had a good game when we played Orbit College. I think that was the last time we played a Betway Premiership game,” said Kwinika.
“We probably need to readjust and go back to the league again because the focus for now is still CAF. Now we are going to play Chippa in PE, and it’s always a difficult game to be honest because it’s always tough playing against Chippa.
“I’ve seen them in the past games. The last game they played against a good team [Siwelele over the weekend], with a good structure. So it won’t be an easy task, but I think we’re up for it because we’re preparing for them. We’ve seen how they play, how they behave with and without the ball.”
Chiefs won two of the three matches last season against Chippa, including the Nedbank Cup in the round of 16.
Kwinika, who played for Chippa before, added” “So it’s upon us to try and use what we have been preparing in terms of penetrating and defending very well for us to win the game, but obviously we’ve seen they are a stubborn team that don’t mind sitting back and coming with their break attacks and all, so we’re preparing for that.”
