Magesi Appoints Maduka As New Coach

Magesi has appointed John Maduka as the club’s new head coach.
Maduka steps in to replace Owen da Gama, who departed Magesi at the end of last season after failing to agree on new terms with the Limpopo-based side.
Maduka, a former Bloemfontein Celtic coach, was most recently with Royal AM. Unfortunately, Royal AM’s PSL membership was terminated by the league due to their failure to honor scheduled matches.
He now takes the helm at Magesi FC, a club that notably won the Carling Knockout last season under Clinton Larsen. Larsen had also guided them to promotion from the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Although Larsen left in December after the club struggled to secure consistent results, Da Gama was able to steer Magesi to a 13th-place finish in the Betway Premiership table, accumulating 31 points from 28 matches.
