Relebohile Mofokeng emerged as the undisputed star of the 2025/26 PSL Awards ceremony on Monday evening, capping off a sensational campaign with a clean sweep of top individual honors.

The 21-year-old maestro—who recently sealed a marquee move abroad to Belgian outfit Royale Union Saint-Gilloise—was duly rewarded for his pivotal role in Orlando Pirates’ treble-winning season, walking away with the coveted PSL Footballer of the Season award.

Mofokeng also claimed both the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season and the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season titles, cementing his status as South Africa’s standout talent before his European departure.

Unsurprisingly, league champions Orlando Pirates dominated the top-flight categories. Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou was named Betway Premiership Coach of the Season, while Sipho Chaine, Lebone Seema, Oswin Appollis, and Camren Dansin picked up the Goalkeeper of the Season, Defender of the Season, Midfielder of the Season, and Goal of the Season awards, respectively.

In cup competitions, veteran goalkeeper Darren Keet—who officially hung up his boots at the end of the term—was named Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament after anchoring Durban City’s historic cup run. TS Galaxy’s Seluleko Mahlambi took home the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player of the Tournament.

Former Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi was awarded the Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament accolade, while Buccaneers winger Tshepang Moremi earned the MTN8 Last Man Standing honor.

Cape Town City swept the Motsepe Foundation Championship category following their promotion push, with Emile Witbooi, Gabriel Armato, and Mickey van der Hart claiming the Players’ Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, and Goalkeeper of the Season awards, respectively.

In the reserve tier, Mamelodi Sundowns sensation Bennet Mokoena completed a clean sweep in the DStv Diski Challenge, taking home both the DStv Diski Challenge Player of the Season and Top Goal Scorer awards.

Match officials were also honored for their performances throughout the campaign, with Eugene Mdluli named Referee of the Season and Nandipha Menze taking home Assistant Referee of the Season.
