Just a few hours after the MTN8 final tickets had gone on sale, they have been sold out, Stellenbosch said in a statement.

Stellies will face Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 5 October.  

They were confirmed by the PSL to have gone on sale at 10:30 on Thursday morning, but four hours later they have since been sold.  

“Supporters are requested to note that tickets for the #MTN8 final between Stellenbosch FC and Orlando Pirates on 5 October have been sold out. We will see you all at Moses Mabhida Stadium,” said Stellies in a statement.  

The PSL also said in a statement on Thursday: “Tickets for the MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch are officially sold out.”

That MTN8 final of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in the 2014/15 season at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban were the quickest to be sold out, which lasted just two hours.

Pirates will be gunning for their fourth MTN8 trophy in the last five seasons and third in three seasons, having all won at the Durban venue.
