Nabi Predicts Unstoppable Future For Amakhosi

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has predicted a bright future for his team, believing that Amakhosi will soon become unstoppable.
This comes after the Phefeni Glamour Boys initially moved into fourth place in the Betway Premiership with 25 points after 17 games, following a win over Stellenbosch at Athlone Stadium on Friday night. However, that fourth spot has since been reclaimed by Sekhukhune United, who drew against SuperSport United at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday.
Nabi’s side, which has won seven, drawn four, and lost six games, said: “It’s a modern game of how we want to play, and we should be good both defensively and offensively.
“I think that’s a DNA of Kaizer Chiefs. We are choosing the players that can fit into our modern game.
“We believe that even the statistics of PSL we’ve been one of the teams that have created more opportunities, and I think even on Saturday we should have scored many goals.
“We believe that even in the future we will be better than how we are today.”
On Friday, Chiefs kept a clean sheet in their 1-0 victory against Stellenbosch away from home. Nabi was asked how crucial the clean sheet was against Stellies, whom they were defeating for the second time this season in the space of two months.
“First of all, I think about the clean sheet, credit must go to everyone because we feel like everyone did an amazing job trying to tighten the space,” Nabi added.
“We indeed need to get the results, but the process has to go in the right dimension and I’m committing myself in this process to create a very strong team step by step.
“I think in all games that are left we are going to play for a win.”
Amakhosi will take a break from the Betway Premiership this week as they will be playing in the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup against Chippa United on Saturday. Chiefs beat Free Agents 4-0 to secure their place in the Last 16 of this competition two weeks ago.
