Gallants Close In On First Signing
Zimbabwean winger Daniel Msendami is nearing a move to Marumo Gallants from Botswana champions Jwaneng Galaxy.
Marumo Gallants recently acquired a PSL status, paving the way for their return to the South African top flight ahead of next season.
Msendaim, 23, attracted interest from several clubs, including Tanzanian giants Simba SC, Young Africans, and TP Mazembe, after a successful loan spell at Jwaneng Galaxy in the 2022/23 season.
Initially a loan deal with a purchase option, his impressive performances convinced Galaxy to sign him permanently.
Msendami played a key role in Jwaneng Galaxy’s title defense last season and their consecutive CAF Champions League group stage appearance for the second time on the trot. He even earned the Orange FA Cup Player of the Tournament award as the team lifted the trophy under coach Morena Ramoreboli, who recently extended his contract with the Botswana club.
Msendami came on in the second half when Bafana crushed Zimbabwe 3-1 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers early this month. He played the full match in the previous match when Zimbabwe were stunned by Lesotho 2-0 at Orlando Stadium.
