Jali Credits Chippa’s Environment To Get Back In Shape
Chippa United midfielder Andile Jali has credited the club’s environment for his rapid return to match fitness.
The former Orlando Pirates star, who endured a challenging stint at Moroka Swallows, has impressed with his physical transformation since joining Chippa.
Jali last played a competitive match on 23 December before his contract dispute with Swallows led to the club forfeiting two matches. He joined Chippa a few weeks ago.
“It’s been easy working with familiar faces like coaches Kwanele Kopo and Thabo September,” Jali said on SuperSport TV’s programme Around the Grounds. “Their guidance has helped me reach the required fitness level quickly.”
Kopo has been appointed as the head coach for the upcoming season, with September as his assistant. Jali’s contract with Chippa extends to the end of the season, with an option to renew.
The 34-year-old, a seven-time league champion, is one of several new signings at Chippa, including Aphelele Teto, Giovanni Philander, Thobani Jacobs, Xolani Shitole, Samkelo Jali, Sifiso Mazibuko, Seun Ndlovu, and Boy Madigwane.
