MC Alger coach Khaled Ben Yahia is anticipating a tough match against Orlando Pirates, who are unbeaten in CAF Champions League, but he feels they have all the tools to win.

Alger flooded Pirates with attack in the quarter final first leg, but they were blunt, with Pirates catching them via the counter attack that was aplomb finished by Mohau Nkota, who came in the second half.

It is that deficit that the Algerians will have to wipe off on Wednesday at Orlando Stadium (18:00).

But Alger, who just like Pirates has won the CAF premier’s club competition once, faces a formidable Pirates side that has won four of their five home matches in the Champions League this season.

“Coming to this game, I know it will be a tough one with a lot of determination,” Yahia said.

“So, going forward, I think the game itself – we are going to give good football.

“The game is a very high profile game, we think that we are going to produce the game that the guys are living and also the opponent have quality; but we hope we could win it.”

While last week the Algerian giant suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss in the first leg, Yahia revealed that they were better of the two sides and they should have beaten the Buccaneers.

“That is why I said Pirates is an opportunistic team, they used the opportunities and that’s it,” he added.

“Coming to our team, we have a quality. We frustrated them physically and tactically.

“But the reason we lost is because we lacked that physicality, but all in all, we played very well.”

The winner between these two rivals will face the Egyptian giant Pyramids in the semi-final of this competition. Pyramids, on the other side, beat AS FAR to book themselves in the last four.
