Mngqithi: Sales Is On The Right Path

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi says his striker Arthur Sales is adapting well in the club and will soon score many goals for the Brazilians.
The 22-year-old Brazilian footballer joined Sundowns in July this year from the Belgian club Lommel SK.
His move to Mngqithi’s side has been one of the major talking points in SA football as he is reportedly signed for R64 million.
This after Sales scored 10 goals and made two assists in 24 appearances in the Belgian Challenger Pro League.
The former Lommel SK striker has been struggling to get game time at Sundowns due to his injury. The 22-year-old talented young player has played seven games in all competitions for Sundowns.
Against Polokwane City on Tuesday, Sales started and managed to have two assists under his name. Mngqithi revealed after the game that the Brazilian will soon score many goals at Sundowns.
“I’m just excited [about his performance on Wednesday],” he said. “I think he adapts well to the team because he is a good football player. He may not have scored up until now, but I believe there’s a lot we can still get from him. “Sometimes without getting goals, there’s a higher potential of getting assists from him. His concepts of space are unbelievable, he identifies space very well, he creates space he explores space and he gets into space at the right moment.
“Every match is always had a chance, he’s always in an area where something could have happened. Unfortunately, he has not scored but I think he is very close and I think he is on the right track,” the former Lamontville Golden Arrows coach concluded about Sales.
Sundowns is set to face Marumo Gallants in the semi-final of the Carling Knockout this Sunday.
Sales will be hoping to score his first goal for the Brazilians and will go to this game with a big motivation having assisted Kutlwano Letlhaku’s goals against Rise and Shine.
The striker has played only one game in the Carling Knockout and his game was against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, where he played four minutes only. The Brazilian talisman scored against Kaizer Chiefs but his goal was ruled out offside by the assistant referee.
