Sibisi: No Pressure On Pirates Ahead Of Soweto Derby

Orlando Pirates defender Nkosinathi Sibisi has stated that the previous two consecutive defeats they suffered do not place any pressure on them ahead of their clash against Kaizer Chiefs.
Both Soweto giants will meet for the first time this season at a sold-out FNB Stadium on Saturday in the Betway Premiership.
Both sides head into this encounter heartbroken after suffering defeats in their previous matches. Pirates suffered consecutive defeats, losing to Mamelodi Sundowns in the league before being knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Casric Stars.
“No, there is no sort of pressure,” said Sibisi.
“We have been in this situation before at the beginning of the season when we lost two consecutive league matches.
“We got ourselves to where we are right now, so there’s no reason why we can’t do it again starting on Saturday. We are staying positive to say we can take the game on Saturday.”
Amabhakaniya currently sit second on the table with 38 points, level on points with Sundowns, who are topping the log.
The skipper, who has committed mistakes in the past two matches, including missing the penalty, has called on their fans to keep believing, highlighting that the past two results do not define them, as there is still a chance to finish at the top of the table.
“To our supporters, I don’t think we’ve become a bad team after two games. For them, it’s just to keep believing,” Sibisi stated.
“We know maybe we could have done better in the previous two games, but that’s all under the bridge now. We’re focusing on the upcoming Soweto derby. We know if we win that game, we still go back to the top of the table,” Sibisi added.
