Stellenbosch FC has strengthened its midfield as the PSL transfer window season is closing on Friday with the signing of Khomotjo Lekoloane from Baroka FC.

The move comes amid speculation that the club may accept a lucrative offer from Mamelodi Sundowns for star midfielder Jayden Adams.

Adams has been a key figure in Stellenbosch’s recent success. He played a pivotal role in their third-place finish in the DStv Premiership last season and securing their maiden Carling Knockout trophy. His impressive performances have attracted interest from several top three clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

Lekoloane joins a growing list of new signings for Stellenbosch FC this transfer window. Other notable additions include Sanele Barns, Brian Onyango, Chumani Butsaka, Ashley Cupido, Omega Mdaka, and Faiz Abrahams.

The 24-year-old midfielder has proven his ability in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, scoring for Baroka FC in their recent victory over Hungry Lions. His arrival at Stellenbosch FC will provide valuable depth and competition in the middle of the park.
