Stellenbosch Shift MTN8 Match To Moses Mabhida Stadium

Stellenbosch FC has decided to host the second leg of their MTN8 semi-final against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban early next month.
The decision comes after the Danie Craven Stadium, Stellenbosch’s home venue, faced harsh criticism from TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic following their quarter-final match.
The first leg of the semi-final will take place at Lucas Moripe Stadium on 28 August.
For Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates, the fixture schedule is straightforward. Pirates will host City in the first leg at DHL Stadium on 27 August, with the return leg at Orlando Stadium on 31 August.
“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for the upcoming MTN8 semi-final fixtures,” the PSL stated.
“Cape Town City will host Orlando Pirates in the first leg of their clash on Tuesday, 27 August 2024 at DHL Stadium, with kick-off at 19:00. The second leg fixture will be held at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 31 August 2024. Kick-off is at 15:00.
“In the other semi-final bracket, Mamelodi Sundowns will face Stellenbosch FC in their first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, 28 August 2024, with kick-off at 19:00. The return leg is scheduled for Sunday, 01 September 2024 at Moses Mabhida Stadium, kicking off at 15:00. Tickets are available at TicketPro outlets nationwide, priced at R80 each.”

Stellenbosch will play their second match in Durban in quick succession. This weekend, they will face Nsingizini Hotspurs of Eswatini at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup. Eswatini is one of several CAF member associations that are banned from hosting home matches due to inadequate facilities.
