Pirates Secure First Win Of The Season In DStv Diski Challenge

Orlando Pirates finally tasted victory in the DStv Disk Challenge, edging out Siwelele 1-0 at UJ Soweto Stadium on Saturday morning.
The Buccaneers, who were looking to bounce back from a thrilling 3-3 draw against Durban City last week at Mpumalanga Stadium, managed to score the winning goal in the second half after a goalless first half.
The Pirates’ victory comes after a busy morning of action in the league, which saw Durban City, coached by Pirates’ legend Daine Klate, lose 1-0 to TS Galaxy at Chatsworth Stadium.
In another match, AmaZulu emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Sekhukhune United at King Zwelithini Stadium.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) reserve league will continue on Sunday with five more games across different venues. The defending champions, Kaizer Chiefs, will visit Stellenbosch at Idas Valley Sports Ground at 10:00 in the morning.
Marumo Gallants will take on Mamelodi Sundowns at Dr Molemela Stadium, while Magesi will travel to Princess Magogo Stadium to face Richards Bay, both matches kicking off at 10:00.
Two more games will take place as Chippa United will host Golden Arrows at Buffalo City Stadium at 11:00, and Orbit College will face Polokwane City at Olympia Park Stadium at 12:00.
