PSL Postpone City And Pirates MTN8 Semi Final
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has postponed the first leg of the MTN8 semifinal between Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City, originally scheduled for Tuesday at DHL Stadium.
Due to severe weather conditions, including gale-force winds and heavy rainfall, the match was deemed unplayable. The PSL has rescheduled the game to Wednesday (18:00), 28 August, at the same venue.
“Following advice from the City of Cape Town authorities and stadium management, we have decided to postpone the MTN8 Semifinal first leg between Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates,” said the PSL in a statement. “The adverse weather conditions have caused significant disruptions, including collapsed buildings and blocked roads. Tickets purchased for today’s match will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture.”
