SAFA Confirms Bafana Venues For World Cup Warm-Ups

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that Bafana Bafana’s two international friendly matches against Panama will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban and DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
The first match will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday, 27 March, before the teams meet again in Cape Town on Tuesday, 31 March.
The matches form a critical part of head coach Hugo Broos’ build-up programme ahead of the global showpiece, the FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
Bafana Bafana return to Durban for the first time since being held to a goalless draw by Zimbabwe in a tense 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Moses Mabhida Stadium in October 2025.
The South Africans threw everything at Zimbabwe, but luck was not on their side as the ball was cleared off the line, while the goalposts denied them twice.
They bounced back to seal qualification with a commanding 3-0 victory over Rwanda in an exhilarating encounter in Mbombela.
Tickets for the two matches between Bafana Bafana and Panama will start from R80 for adults and R50 for children under 12. They will be available from Thursday, 26 February 2026.
This will be Bafana Bafana’s first outing since their exit from the Africa Cup of Nations, where they were eliminated in the round of 16 by Cameroon in January.
