AmaZulu Aim For A Three-Match Winning Streak

AmaZulu will be looking to extend their winning streak to three matches when they face TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday at 15:30.
However, achieving this feat is no easy task. The last time AmaZulu won three consecutive league matches was under coach Brandon Truter at the start of the 2022/23 season, when they defeated SuperSport United, Cape Town City, and Moroka Swallows.
Under the coaching duo of Vusi Vilakazi and Arthur Zwane, Usuthu have recently secured victories over Chippa United and bottom-placed Richards Bay. These wins have propelled them to 13th place in the league table with six points from six matches.
Midfielder Ethan Brooks, who scored the third goal against Richards Bay, highlighted the importance of maintaining this positive momentum:
“It would be perfect to maintain this momentum that we are on,” said Brooks.
“I think it is just a mindset to keep this momentum going forward. Hopefully, we can keep it this weekend as well.
“Mentally, we are prepared and started to prepare on Monday and we are looking forward to this game this weekend. Everyone is also looking very focused on the game and like I said, just to keep the momentum.”
Interestingly, both teams have faced challenges this season, leading to coaching changes. AmaZulu parted ways with Pablo Franco Martin, while Galaxy saw Sead Ramovic resign. Both teams are currently tied on six points, with Galaxy occupying the 14th position due to a lower goal difference.
Despite their current positions, Galaxy proved to be a formidable opponent for AmaZulu last season, taking six points from them. Brooks acknowledged the difficulty of facing his former club.
“I’m expecting a very good game from TS Galaxy, a very good team and it is a game away for us, home game for them,” said Brooks.
“It is always nice to play against them because we don’t win games against them, but it is always very nice to go back there because I started there.
“So, I’m looking forward to that as well.”
