Chiefs Vs Sundowns Tickets Sold Out
The PSL has confirmed that the Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns tickets have been sold out.
The announcement was made on Friday morning, as during the course of the week confirmed that 70 percent tickets were sold for this blockbuster Carling Knockout quarter final.
However, they have now been snapped all, which will please the sponsor, Carling and its partners – the PSL.
This high-stakes encounter is set to be a highlight of the weekend’s football action, especially after Orlando Pirates’ surprising elimination by Magesi in the Round of 16.
Both teams had contrasting results in the Betway Premiership fixtures on Wednesday. Chiefs came from behind to draw against Magesi at Peter Mokaba Stadium, while Sundowns thumped Cape Town City at Loftus Versfeld Stadium to get back to winning ways.
However, Chiefs are currently in a slump, having not won in their last three league matches. On the other hand, Sundowns cut the gap on league leaders Orlando Pirates with that City win to move to 15 points after six matches, three behind the Soweto giants.
The upcoming League Cup clash between Chiefs and Sundowns marks their first meeting since the 2015/16 season, when Sundowns emerged 3-1 victorious in the final. Chiefs last won the Carling Knockout in 2011/12.
