Sanoka Departs Galaxy

Defender Pogiso Sanoka is the latest player to exit TS Galaxy, Sportswire has been informed.
Sanoka bid farewell to the team during training, surrounded by new signings like Siphesihle Maduna (from Cape Town Spurs) and Victor Letsoalo (released by AmaZulu).
The former Maritzburg United defender joined Galaxy in the 2020/21 season’s second half. He previously spent six seasons at Maritzburg, arriving in the 2015/16 campaign. Notably, he was a standout player in their 2017/18 season, where they finished fourth and reached the Nedbank Cup final (lost to Free State Stars).
Sanoka became Galaxy’s captain at the start of last season following Given Msimango’s departure to Kaizer Chiefs. He was a defensive rock, starting all 30 league matches as Sead Ramovic’s side achieved their highest league finish (sixth) in the DStv Premiership.
Across all competitions last season, Sanoka played 36 matches, including four Carling Knockout appearances (lost to Stellenbosch FC).
His departure adds to an exodus at Galaxy, joining the likes of Vasilije Kolak, Higor Vidal, Vuyo Mere, Bernard Parker, and Lehlohonolo Mejala. Mojela was sold to Stellenbosch, while Parker transitions to a DStv Diski Challenge team role next season. Mere’s situation remains unclear; he was offered the same role as Parker, suggesting potential retirement from professional football.
