Sekhukhune United has announced the appointment of Herr Hyballa as their new coach ahead of the upcoming season.
The club was on the lookout for a replacement after Lehlohonolo Seema’s departure at the season’s end.
Seema was initially suspended for two matches before the season finale. McDonald Makhubedu took over the reins for those remaining games.
Sekhukhune was initially linked to Baroka’s suspended coach, Dan Malesela. However, they’ve opted for the experience of Hyballa, 48, considering their continued participation in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, a qualification earned by their fourth-place finish last term.
Hyballa’s most recent coaching stint was with NAC Breda in Slovakia, lasting from January to September last year. Notably, he achieved a runner-up finish with the club in the 2018/19 season. His previous experience includes coaching Bayer Leverkusen’s Under-19 team, Türkgücü München, Trenčín, Wisła Kraków, Alemannia Aachen, and DAC 1904.
